Thanksgiving Is Over But…

…I’m incredibly grateful for everything in my life.  Family, friends, health are never to be forgranted. It indeed has been a tough year on the heart, but it really has shown me how important family is to me. And even though I’m on the hunt for my next gig right now, a friend asked me for a quick paragraph so that they might be able to pass my info along this is what I wrote;

I graduated from California State University, Northridge with a Bachelors of Arts in Cinema and Television Arts with an emphasis in Film Production in the Editing skill option in just 3.5 years. Shortly following that I worked in production rentals learning cameras, lighting, and gear. I then went on to work at the Emmy Award winning show, “The Amazing Race” where I started as a PA and worked my way up to Assistant Editor. I went on to work as an Assistant at Shed Media US for a few years then Magical Elves before becoming the Lead Assistant at Pilgrim Studios on a few shows – namly, the NAACP Image award winning show, “Welcome to Sweetie Pies.” After that I was given the opportunity to return to Amazing Race as an Associate/Jr Editor which I was then fortunate to be promoted to Editor. While partially overlapping and in between seasons of Amazing Race I was given the opportunity to edit video and consult with the Enhanced Content team at Netflix, which really enhanced my speed and creativity. I would love for the opportunity to continue to grow in this field.

My point is I’m proud of where I’m at in my career. I’m even more proud to be a dad to two beautiful children and so grateful to have the love and support of my wife and family. And great friends to share and celebrate it all with.  Life is good and sometimes it’s easy to forget that. Thank you for being in my life and for getting this far into my blog post. 😆
