REVAMP?!?
Sorry for no recent updates, I've been contemplating a Full revamp to a more simplistic site, looking to incorporate HTML5 w/CSS. Thoughts and input would be helpful, I'd most likely keep the WP blog rolls and run other site topics out of sub domains i.e. http://wp.darricklazo.com
New Resume Uploaded

New business cards have been printed, after a few different renditions and color choices. Still looking to fix and or change the banner on the start page of the site, as soon as I can get some time to do that. Like always let me know what you think. Obviously this images are the web versions and do not have my phone number listed, as per damn phone spammers.

New banner is up on the main page of www.darricklazo.com not particularly optimized, still working out the kinks, but wanted to get it up anyway. Like usual, feedback is good.

Apple Certified Pro
After some rigorous cramming I passed the Final Cut Pro 7 Level One certification exam. I'm hoping this will expand my resume and land me more 'gigs.' Pass the word onto all your friends, family, and colleagues in need of some post work, cause it's official - I'm now certified (on top of the BA in Cinema and Television Arts in the Film Production Option with an Emphasis on Post). Avid and FCP aren't too different, just terms - price, power. All the same idea - its what the editor/artist do that really makes the difference.

Staying Busy…
It has been quite sometime since I've last updated my site, the above photo is my first attempt at HDR photography. Much to my surprise I am very please with the results. I've been staying rather busy filling my time with studying up for the Apple Final Cut Pro 7 exam and shooting the Wedding Photos (which will soon be posted). The wedding photos were a great opportunity for me to flex some creative energy, resulting in the above photo... More to come...

Future Photography
Quick update to DarrickLazo.com - I will be shooting another Wedding Friday, April 16th. I'm very excited to build my portfolio and this year there will be much to come in terms of my photography portfolio. As much as I love shooting landscapes and art pieces - People have grown on me a bit. Stay posted for the photos.
