ABOUT

The essence of cinema is editing.
It’s the combination of what can be extraordinary images
of people during emotional moments,
or images in a general sense,
put together in a kind of alchemy.

– Francis Ford Coppola

I first discovered my love for movies when I was ten.  I remember sitting in class and the teacher announcing the assignment, it was sort of a book report – but really a group presentation.  My hand shot up as the teacher outlined that we needed to prepare displays and present the material to the class.  “Can it be a video presentation?” I asked when I was called on.  She replied a bit puzzled, “Sure?”  Later that day when mom came home from work I asked her to take me to the camera shop.  This shop, now closed, developed photography film and sold cameras & equipment.  There was a sign that read, “We Rent VHS Camcorders.”  I turned to my mom and told her that’s what I need for my project.  And with a slight hesitation, because of the cost, my mom agreed.  It was now the due date for the project, a few groups had already presented their projects, our group was next.  I eagerly brought up the VHS tape to the TV in the cabinets above the shared lockers.  The video played and I reveled at the reactions my story garnered.  After that project, every group project I had in school was a video.

Since then, I’ve made it my career and have had the opportunity to work on several award winning television series and projects alongside the best talent in the industry.  Over the years I’ve  worked on everything; shorts, trailers, television, features, across several genres.  The Amazing Race, Station 19, Who Do You Think You Are?, Real Housewives of New York, Welcome To Sweetie Pies, and America’s Supernanny are just a few of the incredible projects I’ve been apart of.  I’m very excited to continue on, in this journey through visual storytelling.
